Our Practice

Achievement Advantage Assessment & Services, located in Lyndhurst, Ohio, is a private school psychology practice. It is operated by Jennifer Murphy, Ph.D. and Greer Davis Cerveny, Ed.S. We specialize in comprehensive assessments focused on academic and executive functioning skills, evidence-based interventions, superior consultation services, and professional development presentations. As school psychologists, Greer and Jennifer apply their expertise in mental health, learning, and behavior to help students succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally to the highest degree possible.

Our Beginning

Jennifer and Greer met while working in a local public school system in the inner-ring suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio. While working in public education, they were able to apply their theoretical knowledge to practice and learn the intricacies of special education law and how it is applied in the school setting. Based on that experience, Achievement Advantage’s mission was born: to conduct high-quality psychoeducational evaluations to guide clients’ educational programming and provide appropriate evidence-based interventions.

Our Client-Centered Approach

Although our team is comprised of highly qualified school psychologists, we understand that parents are experts when it comes to their children. That is why Achievement Advantage takes a client-centered approach to providing assessment and intervention services. Your concerns drive our service provision. Using a collaborative process, we are confident that we can provide you exemplary services that align with best practices and meet your individual needs in the areas of assessment, intervention, and consultation.

Our Director of Assessment

As the Director of Assessment, Jennifer is dedicated solely to conducting psychoeducational assessments. Psychological assessment is a highly specialized skill set. Assessment data is collected using testing batteries that may include cognitive assessment, academic assessment, and social-emotional assessment gathered through interviews, standardized testing, rating scales, and observation to determine appropriate diagnosis and identify individual strengths and weaknesses. Our practice specializes even further by focusing on individuals with learning and executive functioning needs. Jennifer also has training in structured literacy as a treatment approach for dyslexia. She applies this knowledge directly to the assessment process, which adds an additional layer of understanding when assessing for language-based learning disabilities like dyslexia and dysgraphia and recommending appropriate evidence-based interventions.

Our Director of Intervention Services

Greer is the Director of Services at Achievement Advantage. She and our team of tutors are dedicated to providing quality, evidence-based instruction to students with dyslexia and other language-based learning disabilities. We offer highly specialized intervention services based on Orton-Gillingham principles to give students the reading and written expression skills that they need to succeed. Specifically, we use Wilson Language Training’s Fundations program to provide prevention and early intervention services and the Wilson Reading System to deliver intensive intervention. Achievement Advantage is a Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship intervention provider.
